Better than the original

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 18 December 2013 03:25 (A review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets)

The 'Harry Potter' franchise is the most successful ever with the last one 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part Two' being the most successful, the second movie came out a year after the first

'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' is better than the original; flying cars, spiders, haunting voices make it a rare great sequel

Should be longer

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 17 December 2013 09:31 (A review of Johnny English)

Rowan Atkinson is in entertaining comedies like 'Four Weddings & A Funeral', 'Bean' and 'Love Actually' as well as a James Bond movie. Here he plays a British agent in a whacky comedy!

'Johnny English' should be longer, why do we have to sit through just 88 minutes of comedy (like 'Borat') and the movie is almost non-stop laughs, I wish we could have more minutes for hilarious movies and less minutes for really boring movies

'Johnny English Reborn' is a rebirth of comedy

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 17 December 2013 09:18 (A review of Johnny English Reborn)

'Johnny English' amused many a decade ago with hilarious jokes, if you liked that then you'll probably love the sequel too

The rebirth of Johnny English, 'Johnny English Reborn' is also the rebirth of comedy with a wheelchair chase and some awesome action scenes, how could it not be amusing?

Not really funny and pretty silly

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 17 December 2013 04:39 (A review of Elf)

Will Ferrell plays the main character Buddy and he gives a pretty annoying performance

'Elf' is not really funny and pretty silly, the story is pretty boring; a human who was raised by elves goes to the real world to find Santa and does a whole load of silly things

Sure, I liked the whole design of the North Pole (the Christmas Town) but apart from a few hilarious jokes, 'Elf' isn't very funny and is actually quite silly

Scary, well animated and never ending

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 15 December 2013 11:22 (A review of King Kong (2005))

'King Kong' is a 1933 movie about an ape falling in love with a woman, it got two remakes

'King King' is scary, well animated and never ending. Really scary scenes and gorgeous animation but it is also a bit long and King Kong isn't even in the first hour, there is still a pretty good cast (Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Adrien Brody, Thomas Kretschmann, Colin Hanks, Andy Serkis, Evan Parke, Jamie Bell) and animation somewhat similar to the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy (also starring Andy Serkis)

Thriller/horror movies are often scary and 'King Kong' is up there with the scary ones

An interesting and unusual movie

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 11 December 2013 04:34 (A review of Billy Elliot)

We have read the book of 'Billy Elliot' (which is based on the movie) in English lessons

'Billy Elliot' is an interesting and unusual movie about a boy who lives with his dad, brother and nan, his dad wants him to be a boxer which Billy isn't good at, he soon discovers that he wants to be a dancer instead which his dad disapproves of

A good cast includes Jamie Bell, Julie Walters, Gary Lewis and Jamie Draven, Julie Walters is very good as the ballet teacher, but as the lead character, Jamie Bell is the one who steals the show (somewhat similar to Thomas Sangster's performance in 'Entrusted' and Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'

If you are a boy and want to be a talented ballet dancer then Jamie Bell (as Billy Elliot) will possibly help you

A detailed, animated classic

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 9 December 2013 07:21 (A review of WALLยทE)

Pixar have touched us with years of movies which are enjoyed by many, 'WALL-E' is one of my favorites

'WALL-E' is a detailed, animated classic! Wanna know why? The story is certainly very interesting; in the 29th century, humans have left a whole load of waste all over Earth which is cleaned up by a robot WALL-E, he falls in love with another robot called EVE, who also has a programmed task, and follows her into outer space on an adventure that edits the destiny of both his kind and humanity. Both robots exhibit an appearance of free will and emotions similar to humans, which develop further during the movie

Like all Pixar movies, the animation is just gorgeous, 'Toy Story', 'A Bug's Life', 'Monsters Inc', 'Finding Nemo', 'Cars' and 'Ratatouille' all had different characters and animation was given to all of them

The voice acting is also very good and the movie is educational when it comes to Physics (pretty much like 'Gravity' and 'Apollo 13')

An annoying, boring embarrassment

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 8 December 2013 06:01 (A review of Barney's Great Adventure)

I was short of time and I had enough time to watch a movie about 1h 20 minutes and I chose this

'Barney's Great Adventure' is an annoying, boring embarrassment, pretty much like the TV series, it was pretty horrible, why did anyone decide to make a movie for the annoying creepy dinosaur? And his idiotic friends? Yeah I used to like the show when I was 4! But actually now I hate it! Did they think they could entertain children?

Yeah, they succeeded in entertaining children but otherwise...NO! Adults and older audiences will want to shut it off immediately

But what a silly plot; when a family go to their grandparent's farm, the boy Cody (who is the main character after Barney) cannot watch Nickelodeon because there is no cable, one evening, a star strikes and creates a magic egg which they then lose and have to chase it (they also assume that a big chicken laid the egg), just how do grandparents and a magic egg connect?

Thomas the Tank Engine's success wasn't so when he made a movie but it was a lot better than this, why don't we get Thomas to run over Barney and also will Baby Bop stop saying 'blank-ee'? Please say 'blanket'

And will Barney come up with a song that's both original and decent, all the songs he sings are either unoriginal or completely boring, what oh what, is the reason for that?

My version of 'I Love You'
I hate you
You hate me
Let's go hang Barney from a tree
And we'll celebrate
Cause Barney's death is new
Won't you say you hate me too?

A huge improvement on the first though still bad

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 8 December 2013 01:56 (A review of Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred (2011))

My expectations for 'Fred 2' were rather low as I thought the internet series was pretty abysmal and the first movie was dreadful but actually I was surprised

'Fred 2' is a huge improvement on the first, Fred is only half as annoying as in the first movie, unfortunately the story was still bizarre and the acting was rather obnoxious but Siobhan Fallon Hogan improved as did John Cena

It's still bad but still 10 times better than the first.ย

Really bad, completely boring and ridiculous

Posted : 10 years, 5 months ago on 8 December 2013 10:39 (A review of Old Dogs)

'Old Dogs' is a turkey, how could anyone enjoy it? It is really bad, completely boring and ridiculous

It has pretty lame jokes and an unoriginal tedious plot, what were John Travolta and Robin Williams thinking? That it was the last movie on earth?ย

Who thought 'Old Dogs' would be worth making? It'll only entertain young children. The jokes are terrible and the story is dull and stupid
